It was a busy weekend on the 25th and 26th July as we travelled up the country and then back down the country and back up again.
Lovely to see so many people sunning themselves in Wakefield's Clarence Park for the Clarence Park Festival. We enjoyed a set from the the Scarlet Starlings before playing to a cheerful tent. Thanks for dancing people of Wakefield :-)
We later had a dance ourselves. After enjoying the rest of the festival we made some fine discoveries in the centre of town. The guilt on Diarmuid's face says it all. ...
Then it was off to the Hop for some local entertainment where the beers were well varied. Our adventure continued as we found some interesting signage and an even more interesting 80s club.
All thanks to our hotel host we had some insider knowledge about the cheap breakfast at Morrisons which set us up for heading down to support Mark Morrison :-)
We only just made it in time for our set at the Create Festival in Ashford. Phew.
The brave people of Kent were out with their waterproofs in the relentless rain. Full respect for all the staff there working during the non-stop downpour. Here's a video of the experience.
